Oakwood Village Intergenerational Program

This year we have a new program for our afternoon 4K class. UHP and Oakwood village have started an Intergenerational Musikgarten class. The last Wednesday of the month, our afternoon class will travel by city bus to Oakwood Village.  The children will get to meet and be with 10 – 14 “Grandparents”.  The “Grandparents” are all residents of the Memory Care Unit at Oakwood Village.  Our UHP students and Grandparents will participate in a 30 minute Musikgarten class together. Then our students will return to UHP by city bus to finish out the day at Preschool.  We will need parent volunteers from the Wednesday afternoon class to attend.

Art Night & Silent Auction Fundraiser - Huge Success!

Families and Friends joined us for a fun evening in November featuring the child’s artwork and creations. Artwork and silent auction items were available for purchase as a fundraiser for the preschool. We raised over $2,500 to put toward our playground! With the moneys raised we are purchasing this weather-proof, ergonomic, child-sized, smooth surfaced picnic, art, lunch, simple science project/discussion table for our playground! The Kids are going to love it!
